Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust was founded in the year 1992 by the eminent Industrialist and Philanthropist, Shri T.S.R Khannaiyann. The Trust is being managed by the Secretary, Smt. Sarasuwathi Khannaiyann, Joint Secretary Smt. Priya Satish Prabu and Trustee Shri.K.Sakthivel Raja. Since its inception the Trust has involved itself in benevolent activities for inculcating quality education by promoting various types of Educational Institutions.Hindusthan College of Arts & Science pursues a philosophy of perpetual acquisition of knowledge. Apart from academic curriculum, equally important is the policy to provide value based education and to bring out the hidden potential in students that equip them to approach life with optimism. The main motive of the Hindusthan Trust is to serve the needy. The Trust adopts poor children and offers free education. It also offers assistance and guidance pertaining to higher studies. The Trust also helps them to earn a living. The Trust motivates the rankholders and toppers by providing financial assistance
Care At Hindusthan Hospital
Hindusthan Hospital is established by Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust, a Public Limited company, promoted by Dr.K.C.Ramaswami. Dr.K.C.Ramaswami is an orthopedic and spine surgeon practicing in Coimbatore for past 26 years. He has worked as a professor and Head of the Department of Orthopedics at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital.
The company is managed by the Board of Directors (List given below). At present the company is having nearly 300 share holders both from India and aboard. Consultants in various fields have joined as promoter share holders both from India and Aboard . The total cost of the project on completion of 250 beds is 70 crores.
The civil construction for the entire 250 beds has been completed. The land area of the hospital is 2.09 acres and the construction of the seven storey building has been completed. The total built area (underground + ground + 5 floors) is around 1, 75,000 square feet with a capacity of 250 beds.
The phase 1 of the project consisting of Basement Ground, First and Second Floors with 110 bed capacities has started functioning from 01ST MAY 2010 with Intensive care unit, Operation theatre with fully Air conditioned facility, and with all respective Medical equipment .
